We will be exhibiting at The International Fine Art & Antique Dealers Show in New York from 25th – 31st October 2013. The fair will be held at The Park Avenue Armory, Park Avenue at 67th Street, New York, NY 10065, USA.

The International Fine Art & Antique Dealers Show, founded in 1989, was New York’s first vetted fair and remains one of the world’s most prestigious art and antique fairs. ‘Export of Objects of Cultural Interest Report 2011/12′

We were delighted that an image of The Crouching Venus by John Nost the Elder, which we sold to the Victoria and Albert Museum in March 2012, appeared as the cover image on the Export of Objects of Cultural Interest Report 2011/12.

The Crouching Venus was picked out in the Annual report to Parliament by Maria Miller, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and Minister for Women and Equalities, which is featured on pages 4-5 of the Report.

She described the sculpture as ‘one of the earliest versions of the kind in England of an antiquity in marble, made for a British client’.

‘Vesey Manor House, Sutton Coldfield’ by Ethel M. Reynolds, 1901-2
‘Christmas and New Year – to greet you right heartily’

In the last couple of weeks we are delighted to have discovered and purchased this print of Vesey Manor from 1901/2 which we have had printed as our company Christmas card.

Vesey Manor was built in c.1450 for Bishop Vesey, Bishop of Exeter under King Henry VIII. In the nineteenth Century it still functioned as a working farm until 1895 when it was modified and enlarged by Edward John Charles, a local developer, who converted it into two domestic dwellings. Since 1939 Vesey Manor has been home to the Coulborn family antiques business, now in the third generation.
