The lifting leather writing slope revealing an extraordinary arrangement of eight secret drawers, concealed by removable panels operated via concealed pressure points, the freize with one long central drawer flanked by two short drawers on either side, with conforming dummy drawers to the other side, with carved motifs at the ends on carved tapering legs terminating with original gilt brass cappings and castors.
