The square top inlaid with a chess and draughts board of maple and rosewood surrounded by a broad maple border and a crossbanded rosewood border, the frieze crossbanded in fiddleback maple, with a concealed frieze drawer containing turned ebony and boxwood draughts counters, on an octagonal baluster form pedestal with a carved gadrooned knop and veneered in bird's eye maple and rosewood, with a circular collar to the base inlaid with triangles to form a star pattern, on a concave quatreform platform base with the original carved foliate scroll feet.
